Michael Jackson died at the age of 50. He suffered a cardiac arrest at his home and arrived at hospital in a coma, the Los Angeles Times reported. He died at 1.07pm Pacific time (9.07pm BST).
Music producer Quincy Jones told MSNBC: “I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news.”
Jackson suffered a cardiac arrest, according to website TMZ.com. Once at the hospital, staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive, the website added.
